The Grand Hotel Central is a hotel in Barcelona. Quoted by one UK daily newspaper as “one of the Five best European new hip hotels”.. and we agree. The building itself dates back to 1926 and sits opposite the Barcelona Cathedral (not to be confused with the Sagrada Familia). There are 147 rooms all equipped with the latest facilities and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve had the pleasure of sleeping in. On the roof there is an infinity pool with views over the rooftops of the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, and the same roof top at night is where you can enjoy a cocktail with city lights as your backdrop. The Avalon Restaurant & Café is the hotel restaurant which has been awarded 2 Michelin start.

Rooms are at a minimum of 24 Square Metres and have air conditioning, Bathrobes, 24 Hour room service, iPod docking station, 27” Flatscreen LCD TV with satellite channels, DVD, Internet connection and a free Minibar (non- alcoholic only unfortunately !). Tea/Coffee Making Facilities and a Hairdryer make up the list for these well equipped rooms.
