Marrakech Boutique & Luxury Hotels
Marrakech is a unique and fascinating destination with a wide choice of boutique and luxury hotels and riads. Some of our featured riads have only 4 rooms, other hotels we have hand-picked for you are larger with a greater choice of facilities such as a large swimming pool, or such as at the Sirayane Boutique Hotel, some rooms have their own private swimming pool. You can choose to stay within the ancient city walls of the Medina, or on the outskirts in areas such as the Palmeraie.
The Medina is a hustling, bustling city that hasn’t changed much in hundreds of years. The Medina isn’t for the faint hearted, it can be a little disorientating when you first arrive...it feels like a test at times to remember where you have been and always look confident… the faintest hesitation, the slightest doubt that you know exactly where you are and the street traders, kids and what feels like half of Marrakech will be more than willing to help you out of the maze that is the Medina and set you on your way…via their uncles leather shop of course…and for a few Dinars in payment…it’s all very safe and friendly but you have to remind yourself that despite the relatively short flight (4 hours from London) you are in a very different continent and things are a little different here… it’s street theatre and you are the central character - but that is why you are here, a little adventure and excitement. The Medina could have almost have been created by the Disney Corporation – full of charm and character, and it sometimes feels like you are in a theme park.. but you’ll quickly learn to look out for those little landmarks that guide you to and from your hotel, and then it all becomes very easy…and once there is no hesitation in your stride then, hey presto, there won’t be anyone appearing, as if from nowhere, to guide you on your way. Keep an eye out for the bicycles, mopeds, horses, horses with carts and any other 4 legged 2 wheeled form of transport you can think of as you walk through the narrow, noise and colour filled streets.
For the best of Morocco why not stay outside the Medina when you first arrive, relax, take a trip in to the ancient city in the evenings. Then after a couple of days you’ll be refreshed to delve further in and discover a world so far from what we know. And why not head out to the Atlas Mountains for a slice of village Moroccan life.
Combine the old with the new with a stay in a boutique luxury Riad or a luxury hotel for your Marrakech adventure.
