Sharm el Sheikh Boutique & Luxury Hotels
Sharm el Sheikh has a high number of 5 star luxury hotels. However there are a small number of boutique luxury Sharm el Sheiks hotels such as the 43 room The Royal Savoy Sharm el Sheikh Hotel. At this hotel children under 12 are not permitted, so if you are looking for an adult orientated high end hotel in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh then check out our collection of hotels.
There are many reasons to come to Sharm el Sheikh? Pretty much guaranteed sunshine year round, but bear in mind July & August will be very hot. Most Northern Europeans head to Sharm in the winter months offering a welcome break from the snow & rain back home! In addition to the sun, The Red Sea has excellent snorkelling just metres from the beach. Most hotels have a jetty allowing you easy access to drop yourself in the water and enter a whole new world of coming face to face with a kaleidoscope of fishes. Scuba divers can discover the reefs further out into the Red Sea. Sharm is considered to be one of the top 10 dive sites in the World. Some of the popular dives that can be arranged as day trips include:
- Ras Nausrani and Ras Bob: These are shallow coral bays or 'secret gardens' leading to a steep drop-off where manta rays are sometimes spotted during summer months.
- Ras Umm Sid: A popular site and is home to Sharm’s largest gorgonian forest. You should come pretty close to a school of chevron barracuda as well as batfish. On a good day you should see pelagics.
- The Temple: A large rock tower surrounded by where you can dive winding in and out of the smaller towers surrounding the main large tower. This site can also be dived at night.
Alternatively why not take the opportunity to learn to scuba via a PADI course that can be arranged either before you arrive or in-resort.
There is plenty to occupy when the sun goes down with a very heavily western influenced choice of restaurants and bars in Na’ama Bay, but it is still possible to find the authentic Egypt in the area of “Old Sharm”, as well as smoke shisha in shisha bar.
More luxury hotels are being developed along the Red Sea Riviera around Sharm & Hurghada with increased focus on spa facilities, as well as golf and tennis, and in town many of the high end hotels are located at White Knight Bay a few miles north of Na’ama Bay which offers you more peace and tranquillity.
Sharm el Sheikh is only about 5 hours from London and the airport is very close to the resorts so if you take a mid-morning flight you could be sitting by the pool of your 5 star hotel sipping a cocktail by late afternoon…what are you waiting for ?
